Author Guidelines

Journal of Scientific and Engineering Innovation (JSEI)

Overview

Authors are invited to submit original and unpublished scholarly articles to either of our journals. Submissions must align with the aims and scope of the respective journal and demonstrate academic rigor, clarity, and originality. Manuscripts are accepted on the understanding that they are not under simultaneous review elsewhere.

Manuscript Preparation

All manuscripts should be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx). The main body text must be double-spaced using a 12-point Times New Roman font. Margins should be set at 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides. Pages must be numbered consecutively.

Each submission must begin with a title page that includes the full manuscript title, author(s) name(s), institutional affiliations, and contact details for the corresponding author (email and phone number). An abstract of no more than 250 words should follow, along with 4–6 relevant keywords.

The manuscript should be structured into clearly defined sections:
Introduction, Methodology, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion. Additional subsections such as Acknowledgments, References, and Appendices may be included where appropriate.

Figures and tables should be embedded within the text close to their first citation and numbered sequentially. All visual elements must include descriptive captions and be of high resolution (minimum 300 dpi for images). Data must be presented clearly, avoiding redundancy between text and tables.

References should be formatted using APA (7th edition) style. Ensure all in-text citations are included in the reference list and vice versa.

Submission Process

Authors must submit manuscripts through the journal’s online portal via the [Open Journal Systems (OJS)] platform. All submissions will be acknowledged upon receipt.

Submissions are initially reviewed by the editorial office to ensure compliance with journal policies. Articles that pass the initial check are forwarded to subject-matter experts for double-blind peer review. The review process typically takes 2–6 weeks. Based on reviewers' feedback, authors may be asked to revise and resubmit their manuscripts. Final acceptance is determined by the editorial board.

Article Processing Charges (APC)

To support open access publishing and cover editorial and production costs, a modest article processing charge is applicable upon acceptance:

• International Authors: $150 USD

There are no submission charges. APCs are payable only after acceptance and before publication.

Ethical Policy

Academic World Journals are committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics. Authors must ensure that their work is original and free from plagiarism. All research involving human participants or animals must have received appropriate ethical clearance.

Any conflicts of interest, funding sources, or financial relationships that may influence the research must be disclosed.

Copyright and Licensing

Upon acceptance, authors will be required to sign a copyright agreement. All content is published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), permitting unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original author and source are credited.

Post-Acceptance and Proofing

Accepted manuscripts will undergo final typesetting. Authors will receive proofs for review and correction. Minor changes only (e.g., typographic or formatting errors) will be allowed at this stage.
